Refinancing Your Home at the Lowest Rates in Recent Memory

Inter-bank lending is at the lowest rate in the last sixty years and the Federal Reserve has said that they expect to keep it that way until at least through the end of 2014. What an amazing statement that is. It means that you have the time to shop around and refinance your home at the most competitive rates in a long time. Almost everyone that bought a home before 2008 can benefit and save by refinancing their home soon.

All you need to get these great rates is good credit. Lenders have been burned by people walking on their homes, so when they see people with good credit, they will give them the best rates possible.

If you are thinking about a refinance for good credit, you can take your time and shop from the comfort of your home. There is no need for high pressure sales people, and deals with hidden catches. Compare offers from multiple quality lenders and see the terms laid out in plain English.

Once you are satisfied with the offers you can file your application online for a quick response. If you feel uncomfortable using the internet for anything other than research, the lenders are all available for consultation by phone.

Don’t let this great opportunity to refinance slip by you.

Looking for a Hip, New Car?

If you are looking for a used or new car then you should speak with a car financing company that can tell you what your options are, based on your credit and your salary information. You can contract hire and leasing from a number of different banks, depending on your credit. You should not go to just one finance company for a quote, as you may be able to get a better rate. You should have a good amount of money for a down payment so that you can have a lower monthly payment. The more you pay down, the lower your monthly car payment, it is that simple. If you have a certain car in mind then you should go and look around at more than one dealer so you can also get a variety of prices from each dealer that has the car that you are looking for.

You Might Qualify for Tax Credits for Home Improvements

There is almost nothing better than being able to get tax credits for home improvements in my opinion. Maybe it is because my house has needed so much work the last few years but until recently I did not realize that I could actually get credit on what I spend for some of the improvements that I want to get done. Now that I have an understanding of how it all works, I can get started on some of the projects that have been putting on the back burner. I really encourage everyone to learn about what they can and can’t get in terms of credits when it comes to working on the house. You never know what kind of break you can get, especially when you are making your home more earth friendly and cost efficient as the Government tends to favor these types of improvements to your home.

Saving for Retirement: What is an IRA?

In these uncertain times, it is more important than ever to save some money towards your retirement. Many people do not have sufficient funds set aside and are likely to outlive their retirement savings. There are many types of investment accounts that can help motivate workers to save more, each with its own advantages and disadvantages. Because of its simplicity, one of the most popular investment vehicles is an IRA. What is an IRA? It means “individual retirement account,” a type of investment plan that allows a worker to contribute up to a certain dollar amount of his or her earnings each year, tax free, and to invest those funds without tax liability until the money is withdrawn. Older workers are allowed to contribute more per year to “catch up” with younger workers. An IRA is simple to set up, and most usually charge only a small annual custodial fee.

What is a Good Credit Score and How to Maintain Your Rating?

What Is A Good Credit Score and at the same time, how can you maintain an excellent credit rating? Maintaining your good credit score to have acceptable rating is easy and hard at the same time. It is easy in a sense that there are people that can maintain a regular payment on the account. It does not necessarily mean to cover the full balance but just making the minimum payment will be good. If you cannot make the minimum, then try splitting your minimum into two different payments. This will help you to cover the amount. On the other hand, good credit score is hard to maintain if you are in a financial difficulty. There are some points in our life that we experience cash-flow problems and/ or loss of source of income. This is crucial because there are some people that have many creditors. What you need to do is to ask a payment plan arrangement from your creditors in order for you to bring the account update (this means catching up with the payment). If this is still impossible with the money, you are getting, you can request for an income and expenditure form. Another option is a third party debt management.

Saving Money by Cutting Expenses

One of the best ways to save money fast is to cut back on your expenses. Do yourself a favor now and leave your credit cards at home; this may help you from making small impulse purchases in your daily routine. Keep a little bit of cash around with you and when you run out, you know you have to limit yourself and wait until next pay check before you can get anything else. The key to cutting back your expenses is to create a budget and stick to it. For example, before buying anything ask yourself “Do I really need this?” If the answer is no, don’t bother getting it. Try to cut out little luxuries such as a morning coffee or a bagel for breakfast since these can add up the most. Pack your own lunch to avoid going out because you are hungry and spending your hard earned money.

Enjoy a FREE Vacation Courtesy Air Miles Rewards and Credit Card Bonuses!

Recently we headed off to Florida for a short vacation. It was a welcome break. Afterall who doesn’t enjoy vacations. The sweetest part was that it was free. Now you are sitting up and are all ears, isn’t it :) ?

Well, well it’s not that hard. We usually fly southwest throughout the year on our business and personal trips. That earned us several thousands of miles. On top of that we opened a Southwest visa credit card that gifted us 50,000 miles in each account! You see that’s more than enough to earn a couple of free round tickets. And the best thing about Southwest (no we’re not talking about 2 bags flying free) is that there are no blackout dates for rewards flights. So as soon as our miles were deposited we booked our roundtrip rewards flights to Florida without paying a dime!

Now comes the hotel part. This summer we came across a cool deal from Citi for its Thank You Premier Card (here’s a detailed citi thankyou premier card review) which offered $300 in bonuses. So we signed up for this card and spent $1500 in 3 months (on each account) to earn our $300 bonus. Since we are couple, this bonus actually earned us $600. That paid for our hotel stay and food during our vacation!

So you see if you are aware of credit card deals going around and take advantage of them, you can earn a free vacation for two easily. After all who doesn’t like to have a break from the grind and make the credit card companies pay for it :) . Go for it dude!
